A profile that converts a click
A good reply only borrows attention. The profile closes the loop. Hallam’s public framing is correct: treat the profile as a landing page with one offer. People who find you under someone else’s post have two seconds. If they cannot say what you are doing, they leave, and Phoenix never gets the follow-weight.
The five-second test
Hand the phone to someone in-niche. Open the profile. Take it back after five seconds. Ask: “What do I tweet about, and why would you follow?” If they say “startups” or “AI,” the page failed. You want a sentence like “he ships small tools and writes the distribution part out loud.”
Photo
A face people can recognize again in a reply thread. Lock it 90 days. Cartoons, logos, and neon gradients leak trust at low follower counts. You are asking strangers to file you under a person. Give them a person.
Bio formula
One sentence of who it is for + one sentence of what you are doing in public. Optional third line: a number or a 90-day bet. Drop “Founder | Innovator | DM me.”
Banner, pin, link
- Banner can be quiet. It is not the conversion surface.
- Pinned post = the 90-day bet or the best proof artifact. Not the product launch.
- One link. A link-in-bio of twelve tools is a stall.
Premium and new accounts
Premium is optional. Some builders report a modest boost to how often their replies are seen; check current pricing and terms in the app, since both vary by country and plan. It does not replace the friend graph. A brand-new account is throttled for weeks: browse, like specifically, and do 5–8 human replies before raising volume. Automation warm-up products are how accounts get limited. A quiet two-year-old account with a rewritten bio is better than a throttled new one.
Turn notifications on for five accounts in your niche who post daily. That is how you arrive in the first 15 minutes on Column B.
